Common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted for admission to the MBA programme offered by the reputed institutes in India such as IIMs, B-Schools, etc. CAT exam is the most sought-after examination for MBA admission. It is conducted by one of the seven IIMs of India on a rotational basis. The exam is conducted in three shifts on the scheduled date. Candidates can apply for this exam by filling out the application form.

Prior to filling out the application form, it is necessary to check the key details like eligibility criteria, documents required, syllabus, exam pattern, etc. The application process comprises various stages such as registration, filling out the application form, uploading of the required documents, fee payment, and final submission of the application. After filling out the application form, candidates must keep a hard copy of the application for future reference. A total of 66 questions are asked in the exam to test the knowledge of candidates pertaining to Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation, and Logical Reasoning. Candidates will be provided time of 120 minutes to solve all the questions. There will be multiple choice questions as well as non-multiple choice questions. Candidates will be awarded three marks for each correct answer whereas for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted. The exam is conducted for a maximum mark of 198. It is a computer-based examination that is an online test wherein candidates have to submit their answers online. The exam is conducted in English language only and candidates are allowed to use an on-screen calculator for the purpose of calculation.
